Ben Zander grew up just blocks from Puget Sound and is a third generation fly
fisherman. He has fished Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and British
Columbia as well as Missouri, Arizona and New Mexico. Ten years ago he cast his
first line into the waters off Edmonds and immediately found his passion. South
sound, to Seattle, to north of Bellingham, Ben has fished it all. He has developed
innovative flies for imitating bait fish to larger marabou flies for steelhead in the salt.
Ben has developed a following of customers at
Pacific Fly Fishers, where he is
when not guiding, who seek his advice on coastal cutthroat. "There really is nothing
more enjoyable than to see someone's face when they hook up with a cutthroat for
the first time in the salt." Ben really is devoted to his angling clientele and life as a
salt water guide. He has an enthusiastic attitude and easy to get along with
personality.

Ben is a member of the Federation of Fly Fishers Guides Association,  CPR and
first aid certified, and is  fully licensed. He has been interviewed by numerous
fishing magazines on the topic of Puget Sound Fly Fishing.

Ben Zander, owner and head guide
Rob has been fishing since he
could walk. His Grandfather had
him "hooked" on northern pike
and large-mouth bass in fisheries
around eastern Nevada. Around
12 years ago, his brother bought
him his first fly rod for Christmas.

When he moved to Washington
Rob started fishing Puget Sound.
While self- taught, his  passion for
the sport grew fast and the
challenges of catching fish in
Puget Sound grew to an
obsession. Along with this lust for
saltwater fishing in Washington,
Rob has taken his skills to Florida
to fish the flats for tarpon, bones,
and redfish. Rob just recently
retired the 6 weight his brother
bought him all those years ago.
The guides rusted out from all of
the salt.

A day on the water with Rob will
be one of education, enthusiasm,
and a laid back attitude towards a
successful outing. Rob is CPR
certified.
