we were having. The fish were really tucked up under over hanging trees and below structure.
Defiantly time to be swinging euphausids over the eel grass and chucking your chum smolt
patterns as far as you can. The south sound is still the place to be, however the middle sound
is picking up. We have had a few fish off of Camano and some at the more popular beaches in
north Seattle. The Cutthroat are on the way out of the rivers and the larger ones are hanging
right in there with them.

Nice work to Mike, Dennis and Don. Casting champs!

including lots of chum smolt have been the main ticket for feeding Cutthroat. The eel grass is
starting to grow long so pay attention to beds and use small krill type patterns. We have had
great success with fish taking euphausids with a slow swing over the beds.
This is a great time of year to start planning your next trip with Sound Fly Fishing. We are filling
up fast for the summer months and are excited about what is to come.
June 28

We are filling up very fast for the summer months. Please have a few dates in mind when
calling to book a trip.

In the last week of June Sound Fly Fishing found themselves plenty of fish. This summer has
been great for Cutthroat. Eel grass is growing long this month and is the ideal hiding and
feeding spot for the Cutts. We have been doing well with smaller flies in the bonefish type and
of course bait fish.

We had some really good minus tides that allowed for some exploratory missions. The South
Sound is always the place to be, however we have been finding plenty of smaller (8-10 inch)
Cutthroat off of the middle and north sound beaches.

Pink Salmon will be returning this year. We are expecting just under 6 million to head back into
Puget Sound.
July 29

Hope the summer is treating you all well. Sea-run cutthroat have been feeding like mad in all
of Puget Sound. Any bait is good bait right now. Look for cooler days and structure to fish
around as the cutts don't like to be out in the open sun.

The Pinks and Coho have finally started to show up. We have been doing well in the north
sound.

Look for large numbers of both fish to be around in the next 5 weeks.

We are almost full for the summer. If you have a date you would like to book please contact  us
as soon as possible.
